Hi, my name is Michael Christian Borchgrevink Lund, currently based in Madrid.

I am a PhD student at University Carlos III (UC3M) working as a researcher for ECHO-ERC project at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in the Institute of Economics, Geography, and Demography (IEGD).

I obtained my masters degree (2022) in Social Science at the Juan March Institute (IC3JM) at University Carlos III (UC3M).


My PhD dissertation explores how social capital can buffer the adverse health impact of family disruptions (bereavement, disability, divorce, unemployment etc.) in childhood and later in life.


Also part of the INTRAREPRO project.


Research Areas: Health inequalities, mortality, life course, social support, social stratification & migration.
